Motion

The Access 8000 radar activation units are based upon the latest radar technology. One radar type is multi-directional sensing. It discriminates between approaching and departing traffic, i.e. it triggers an opening signal for approaching traffic only, but permits the operator to close the door when departing traffic is identified. Another radar type is motion sensing (bi-directional), i.e. it triggers an opening signal for all movement within the detection zone irrespective of direction.

Presence

A presence activation device will detect people or objects, which is preventing the door from closing on to somebody or something. If an obstacle is detected during closing, the door leaves will revert to the open position

Photocell

The photocell units are available in two different models, both working with modulated infrared light. Separate transmitter and receiver units or a combined transmitter/receiver and a reflector can be utilised. Both can be used as activation units for automatic doors or as presence detection units to prevent the door from closing.

If the photocell units are fitted for presence detection together with a microprocessor-controlled Access 8000 automatic door operator the function of the photocell system can be constantly monitored.
